Starter Site Features

The features available with our Starter Sites are designed to kick-start the development process by providing a built-in structure to publish common types of content. Each type of content will have its own section on your site and each section represents a feature. When we build your site you will choose up to four features which are included in the basic price. You can also add more features at any time for $50 each.

Take a few moments to review our standard features and how they may be used on your site:

Home
This is the first thing people usually see when they arrive at your site. It can contain text welcoming your visitors, a relevant image, a brief description of your business or other information that summarizes what you do. Depending on the other features you choose, the home page can also contain elements such as Latest News or Recent Photos.

Products and Services
This section allows you to highlight what you have to offer other businesses or the general public. You can include detailed descriptions, benefits, images and pricing information if you wish. If you offer both products and services then each section is considered as a seperate feature.

News
The News features allows you to post news stories to your web site. Each time you post a new story it is automatically added to the News section. This feature also provides a Latest News block that contains teasers to the three most recent news stories. The Latest News block can be placed anywhere on your site. Keep your visitors up-to-date with the important company news, appearances and other breaking information.

Photo Gallery/Portfolio
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the Photo Gallery feature is worth millions. Easily post photos on your website to stylishly show visitors more about what you do. This could include photos of your facility or a complete portfolio of the work you have performed. The number of photos you can post is only limited by the amount of disk space on your hosting account.

Testimonials
The testimonials section is excellent for posting feedback from your previous customers about their experience with your company. This can be a powerful tool for prospects that are not "ready to buy" but are interested in what you have to offer.

FAQ
This feature allows you to post Frequently Asked Questions in a central location on your site. When people browse a website they are often looking for more information. By providing answers to probable questions you give potential customers another reason to do business with your company.

Blog
Weblogs, or Blogs, are similar to a journal and are typically written from an individual's point-of-view. Each blog entry can include commentary, descriptions of events, or other material including links to other sites or content.

Forums
For community-oriented sites this feature allows your site visitors to exchange ideas and information by posting topics in the forum section of your website. An active and well-moderated forum can dramatically increase the number of return visitors since they regularly return to check for replies and new information.

Chat
The chat feature adds a private chat room to your website so visitors can communicate in real time. Your chat room can be used for live customer support or as a community feature allowing visitors to chat with each other.

Links
The Links feature allows you to post links to other websites that you think may interest or assist your visitors. This could be links to business partners, suppliers or any other website that may add interest to your site.

About Us
This section is somewhat an extension of the home page that you can use to provide a more detailed description of your business. This is useful if you would like to provide a company history, describe your philosophy or explain your business practices.

Contact Us/Location
You can use this feature for allowing visitors to easily find out how, when and where to call, visit or send mail. In addition to your contact informatoin you can also provide a map to your location and driving directions if necessary.

Schedule
Keep site visitors up-to-date regarding your scheduled events, meetings, sales or shows with the Schedule feature. This section allows people to quickly find out what your doing and when it's happening.

Menu and Specials
These two features allow restaurants and caterers to provide information about menus and specials. Since you can change this content at any time, visitors can always find out what awaits them when dinner is served. If you choose both Menu and Specials they will each be considered to be a seperate feature.
